Teresa Hackett, EIFL Copyright and Libraries Programme Manager, will participate in a workshop organized by the South Centre, Knowledge Ecology International and the Program on Information Justice and IP (PIJIP) in preparation for WIPO's Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR/42) that takes place in Geneva 9-13 May 2022.

The workshop will address two themes: 1) Proposal by the African Group for a work programme on exceptions and limitations and 2) Appraising proposals for a WIPO broadcasting treaty in 2022 and its implications on access to culture and knowledge.

Teresa joins an eminent panel of speakers including Mr Mohamed Bakir, Permanent Mission of Algeria to the United Nations in Geneva, Mr Erry Prasetyo, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Indonesia, James Love of KEI,  Teresa Nobre of Communia and Luis Villarroel of of Innovarte.

The workshop is organized by the South Centre, an intergovernmental policy research and analysis institution of developing countries, Knowledge Ecology International (KEI), and the American University Washington College of Law Programme on Information Justice and Intellectual Property (AUWCL PIJIP).
