EIFL advocates at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) for an international copyright framework that benefits libraries, in particular, in developing and transition countries. We participate in sessions of WIPO’s Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR) that meets in Geneva usually twice a year. Here we work with Member States to increase their understanding of library copyright issues in the digital environment and to gain their support for international reform. We also participate in other WIPO meetings, such as the annual WIPO Assemblies.

This is a collection of interventions made at WIPO meetings in 2016 on agenda items Limitations and exceptions for libraries and archives, Limitations and exceptions for education and for persons with other disabilities, Protection of broadcast organizations, and Other Matters.
