The EIFL Model Licences are used as the starting point for EIFL's negotiations with publishers and vendors of licensed e-resources on behalf of library consortia (and their member libraries) in EIFL-partner countries. Prepared by Emanuella Giavarra, EIFL's legal consultant and an expert in e-resource licensing, the licences reflect the latest international best practice in the licensing of e-resources.

The model consortium licence for e-journals is designed to be used by consortia that purchase or subscribe to journals collections within the EIFL framework.

Other organsiations and libraries can use this model licence for their own negotiations.
