The EIFL-Cambridge University Press (CUP) agreement has been renewed for a further year, until December 2026. The renewed agreement includes free and discounted access to journals and publishing in open access in CUP journals. 

Free and discounted read access to 423 CUP journal titles

13 EIFL partner countries are eligible for free access:

  • Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Kosovo, Laos, Lesotho, Malawi, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Palestine, Senegal, Sudan, Ukraine

6  EIFL partner countries are eligible for discounted access:

  • Albania, Armenia,  Kenya, North Macedonia, Uganda, Zimbabwe

Waived Article Processing Charges (APCs) for publishing in 199 Gold open access, 39 Research Open and 179 Hybrid CUP journals

Corresponding authors from 24 EIFL partner countries can publish for free in open access in CUP journals:

  • Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Congo , Côte d'Ivoire, Ethiopia, Fiji, Kenya, Kosovo, Laos, Lesotho, Malawi, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, North Macedonia, Palestine, Senegal, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Ukraine, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Discounted APCs for publishing in 199 Gold open access, 39 Research Open and 179 Hybrid CUP journals

Corresponding authors from 2 EIFL Partner Countries are eligible for a 50% discount on APCs, when publishing in open access in CUP journals.

Transformative agreement: read & publish

Agreement includes pricing for 12 EIFL partner countries that wish to sign the transformative agreement with CUP, which includes read access and unlimited free open access publishing in the CUP’s Gold open access, Research Open and Hybrid journals.

  • Botswana, Estonia, Fiji, Georgia, Ghana, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Namibia, North Macedonia, Uzbekistan
