EIFL is supporting Kenyan public librarian Purity Kavuri-Mutuku to present a paper at the 23rd Standing Conference of Eastern, Central and Southern African Library and Information Association (SCECSAL XXIII). The paper is about a public library service funded by the EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme.
The presentation, by Kavuri-Mutuku and fellow librarian, Joyce Wanjugu, both from Kenya National Library Service/Nakuru Public Library, features a public library service that helps improve children’s grades in maths. The paper is titled ‘Mathwhizz kids: Kenya National Library Services Mathematics Digital Learning Programme for primary school children’.
The theme of SCESAL XXIII is: Positioning Library and Information Services to Achieve Sustainable Development: Innovations and Partnerships.
