EIFL Open Access Programme Manager Iryna Kuchma will present at the second CAREN Regional Networking Conference, CRNC 2017: Empowering the Central Asian research and education communities through global high-speed networking (crnc2017.icaren.org).
CRNC 2017 brings together academics, scientists, decision-makers, information and communications technology (ICT) specialists and industry representatives from across the Central Asian region.
The conference will feature an overview of recent developments in advanced ICT services for research and higher education, and stories about the use of advanced ICT services. Delegates will share knowledge about how ICT is best introduced at member institutions of the Central Asian National Research and Education Networks (NRENS) in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan,Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Kuchma’s presentation will cover the architecture, policy issues and support services for participatory Open Access, Open Data and Open Science e-infrastructures in Central Asia.
CRNC 2017 will be hosted by KRENA, the Kyrgyz Research and Education Network Association, together with the Kyrgyz Turkish Manas University in Bishkek. The conference will be take place at Kyrgyz Turkish Manas University in Bishkek.
CNRC 2017 is organised by the European Commission-funded CAREN project that provides gigabit capacity connectivity to Central Asian NRENs (icaren.org/caren-project).
