Public libraries are playing a vital role in helping people get online by providing access to computers and workspaces, teaching ICT skills and creating information services focused on local needs. Innovation and creativity are essential to ensure that access is meaningful and that people develop the skills needed to embrace the challenges and opportunities of the digital world. 

We are delighted to name the winners of the 13th EIFL Public Library Innovation Award, for public libraries that are teaching digital skills in innovative ways.

Congratulations to –

• Prelog City Public Library in Croatia, which combines digital and financial knowledge and skills in a training programme for children aged from three to 11. 
• ‘Oralkhan Bokeev’ City Library of Ust-Kamenogorsk in Kazakhstan, whose digital skills training programme focuses on learners’ needs and uses role-plays and real-life situations to help young people living with disability to integrate into society as equals.
• Utena A. & M. Miskiniai Public Library in Lithuania, which offers children, parents and grandparents the opportunity to learn advanced digital skills together in family training sessions. 

Each winner receives a prize of US$1,500, a certificate and a trophy.
