We are delighted to name the winners of the 11th EIFL Public Library Innovation Award, for Public library services improving people’s lives.
Congratulations to –
- ‘Argentina Lopes Tristão’ Public Library in Domingos Martins, Brazil, which is empowering vulnerable women through digital skills training
- Butuan City Library in Butuan, Philippines, which is offering a package of e-government support and computer literacy services that is improving community economic wellbeing
- Plungė Municipal Clock Tower Library in Plungė, Lithuania, which is boosting tourism through a virtual tour of one of Lithuania’s prime historical sites
Each winner receives a prize of US$1,500, a certificate and a trophy.

The EIFL Public Library Innovation Awards recognize innovative library services that use ICT to improve lives and livelihoods. The awards are open to all public and community libraries in developing and transition countries.
