Kenya National Library Service trainers do an exercise during leadership training in May 2018. The same group of trainers will undergo advocacy and communications training in Mombasa.

Nineteen public librarians selected to be trainers within the Kenya National Library Service (KNLS) network will attend a two-day workshop on advocacy and communications organized by the EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme (EIFL-PLIP).

The training is part of an EIFL-KNLS initiative to strengthen continued professional development of public librarians in Kenya. The initiative develops librarians’ training skills and knowledge in specific subject areas, enabling them to train their colleagues in 61 public libraries in the KNLS network.
