Join LIBSENSE Francophone Africa Day, hosted by the West and Central Education and Research Network (WACREN), Université Virtuelle de Côte d’Ivoire (UVCI) and EIFL as part of Open Access Week Côte d’Ivoire. 

Professor Abiba Sanogo, President, Conférences des Recteurs des Universités Francophones d'Afrique et d'Océan Indien (CRUFAOCI), will talk about open access and open science in Francophone Africa. He will also join a panel on how to boost open science, with Samia Charfi Kaddour, Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche Scientifique (MESRS, Tunisia), Professor Tiemoman Kone, UVCI, Dr Abdou Maiga, MESRS (Côte d’Ivoire) and RITER (Réseau Ivoirien de Télécommunications pour l’Enseignement et la Recherche), and Professor Abdoulaye Sangare, Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny. 

Hortense Kakpo Ouattara, Université Nangui Abrogoua, and EIFL Open Access (EIFL-OA) Programme Country Coordinator in Côte d’Ivoire, and Manidiaye Ndiaye, Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar and EIFL-OA Country Coordinator in Senegal, will moderate skills and competencies session for administering and managing open access repositories. Dr Cécile Coulibaly, UVCI and EIFL Country Coordinator in Côte d’Ivoire, will moderate a skills and competencies session for research data management.
