EIFL co-organizes intensive training programme for Open Science trainers in Europe

The Centre for Genomic Regulation in Barcelona, Spain, where the FOSTER Open Science Trainer Bootcamp will take place.

EIFL Open Access Programme Manager Iryna Kuchma and EIFL Open Access Programme Coordinator Gwen Franck will take part in an Open Science Trainer Bootcamp organized by the FOSTER (Facilitating Open Science Training for European Research) Project. Kuchma and Franck are also co-organizing the Bootcamp with FOSTER partners.

During the intense three-day training programme, trainees selected from European universities, research institutes and funding agencies will develop Open Science training skills. They will also deepen their knowledge about Open Science; best practices in open research; ethics and data protection; open access publishing; open peer review; open research data; open source software and workflows; open innovation and licensing.

By the end of the Bootcamp, participants will be equipped to provide training on Open Science to researchers in their institutions and communities.
