EIFL Open Access Programme manager Iryna Kuchma will attend the European Open Science Cloud Capacity Building Workshop hosted by the International Council for Science: Committee on Data for Science and Technology (ICSU: CODATA).
Many researchers and those supporting them across Europe (and elsewhere) need Open Science Cloud training. The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) initiative, and the first report of the European Commission EOSC High Level Expert Group, ‘Realising the European Open Science Cloud’, are mandating changes in the way training is being delivered.
The workshop will discuss opportunities with respect to Open Science training in Europe. Workshop participants will plan partnerships to help address training needs associated with the EOSC initiative and with FAIR Data Management in Horizon 2020.
Kuchma will represent the OpenAIRE project at the workshop.
OpenAIRE helps to implement (openaire.eu/open-access-in-horizon-2020) the Horizon 2020 Open Access policy for publications, and is one of the key European infrastructures supporting the Horizon2020 Open Research Data Pilot. EIFL is one of 50 partners in the OpenAIRE project.
