This is the first in a series of EIFL webinars based on knowledge and experience gained from implementing projects to strengthen no-fee (Diamond) open access journal publishing. The webinar series will cover the following topics: approaches for training editorial teams, reviewers and authors; making journal workflows more efficient; motivating reviewers and using Reviewer Credits; performing expert audits to inform strategic planning and shape the journal profile; journal impact, communications and journal marketing and visibility strategies; financial sustainability planning; collaboration and other topics suggested by webinar participants. The presenters are grantees of the ‘Collaboration for sustainable open access publishing in Africa’ project, implemented by EIFL, AJOL (African Journals Online) and WACREN (the West and Central African Research and Education Network) with funding from Wellcome.
