The webinar consisted of three parts:

  1. Introduction to OERs and how academic librarians could be involved presented by Isabelle Turmaine (Director, Information Centre and Communication Services, International Association of Universities);
  2. A step-by-step guide on setting up an institutional OER programme and synergies in open access policies and OER developments presented by Associate Professor Laura Czerniewicz (Director, OpenUCT Initiative, The Centre for Educational Technology at the University of Cape Town (UCT); and
  3. A hands on training on how to find OERs and how to use them in teaching and learning presented by Associate Professor Maha Bali, Center for Learning and Teaching, American University in Cairo.
