Presentation supporting the paper by Monika Elbert, David Fuegi and Ugne Lipeikaite, presented at the IFLA World Library and Information Congress 2011 (Puerto Rico).

The presentation discusses research methodology and preliminary results of a study of perceptions of public libraries held by national and local stakeholders (municipalities, ministries, public agencies, media, librarians) and the general public in Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe. 

The study was commissioned by EIFL and conducted by TNS RMS, a social and market research company based in Nairobi, Kenya.
