Vulnerable children are learning literacy skills in mother-tongue through Lubuto Library Project’s computer-based reading lessons in the major Zambian languages.  The lessons were created using the One Laptop per Child application Etoys, but they run on any computer platform.

The project was initiated with support from the EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme (EIFL-PLIP) in 2010. This two-page case study is based on impact assessment conducted by the library in 2011.
