Short guide (4 pages) to conducting focus groups. A focus group is a research method used to spark discussion among a group of individuals about a particular topic. The method can be used by public libraries to find out the opinions and feelings of service users about a service, and about the impact of the service on their lives.

Adapted from guidelines written by Arnold Hirshon, Executive Director, Nelinet, Inc.; prepared for grantee libraries of the EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme.
