Thirty public librarians from 27 public libraries in Ghana will take part in advanced information and communications technology (ICT) and proposal-writing training organized by the EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme (EIFL-PLIP).

The four-day course follows a four-module ICT, project management,  and communications and advocacy training programme developed and piloted by EIFL-PLIP in Ghana in 2014/15.

The same 30 librarians who attended the pilot are attending the new course, which responds to further skills needs identified by trainees during evaluation of the pilot.

The training is part of  EIFL’s capacity building programme for public librarians in Africa, which encourages public libraries to initiate new ICT-based services that serve community needs.
